Dr. Madison Bland (Dr. Maddy) has a BS Degree from the University of Minnesota, where she also grew up, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. She comes to us from Palm Glen Animal Hospital.
Dr. Maddy knew she wanted to be a vet since she was a little girl, but discovered her passion for helping pets and people when she was in college and volunteering at the local animal shelter. And she really loves animals – she and her partner have 9 fur-children, (6 dogs and 3 cats), most of whom are named after Grey’s Anatomy characters.
Her professional interests include wellness/preventative care, dermatology (show her those funny bumps!), surgery, pain management, and behavioral issues. She is also “Fear Free” certified, and will help our staff be Fear Free too. Dr. Maddy also volunteers at the County shelter.
Dr. Maddy says “I’m thrilled to join the ACH team and can’t wait to build relationships with clients and patients.”
When she’s not at work Dr. Maddy loves all things music, spending time with her pets, enjoying the AZ sunshine, and volunteering with animal rescues. She also has a sweet tooth and hasn’t met a cookie she didn’t like.
